A truly top bloke!

Met Conor in my first year of uni in Lincoln, we lived in the same flat and our first ever meeting was the day Man Utd beat liverpool 3-2 (berbatov hat trick) he asked if the Liverpool towel in the kitchen was mine to which I replied yes, then smugly told me he was a Man Utd fan and asked if I’d watched the game. Wasn’t sure at the moment how much we would get on! We later found a lot of similar interests in 90s rap music, the smiths, retro / favourite football strips, IPA beers and a lot more. If i ever beed to match a tie to a suit conor would be the giy to go to. I started to think despite the Man United thing we was an alright guy.

He was a huge part of our uni group, always getting people up for a night out, sounding the party horn and telling us to ‘seize the night’. Any occasion, Christmas meals, Marc Simpsons birthday, Matt Birds stag do, were always accompanied by a speech from Conor that had everyone who knew him in hysterics and anyone who wasn’t familiar with him probably a little bit confused. He also was the creator of the ‘Soaring Shag’ a revolutionary formation for when we played eleven a side - we lost the first game 7-1 and the ‘soaring shag’ wasn’t seen again.

Many of my other friends who attend uni have drifted from the friends they made their but I think it showed how much of a tight knit group we were that even after uni we met up regularly deposited being spread around the country try. I always looked forward to trips up to Leeds to go watch the football, or Live at Leeds festival (our yearly uni reunion) or any reason to go up for a few drinks.

A top guy who will be dearly missed by anyone lucky enough to have met him.
